Pokémon Transforms Sleep into Fun

A new Pokémon smartphone app game will be released in the summer of 2023, the company announced on the 27th at “Pokémon Presents,” a program announcing new information about the popular “Pokémon” game. The name of the game is “Pokémon Sleep.” It is literally a game about sleep.

President of Pokémon Inc. said:
Pokémon Go led users to spend more time walking. It proved to the world that the basic human activity of walking can be entertaining. Our next focus is on sleep entertainment. That is the next Pokémon’s challenge.

Pokémon Sleep is a game application that uses a smartphone to measure and record sleep and, accordingly, allows users to see the sleeping faces of Pokémon. We will challenge ourselves to adjust our sleep rhythms and find the sleeping faces of various Pokémon. Nintendo will release the new device, Pokémon GO Plus +, on July 14, 2023. By placing this at the bedside, the built-in acceleration sensor measures the time spent sleeping at night, and the results are transmitted to a smartphone via Bluetooth communication.

This game is “a game that makes people look forward to getting up in the morning” and turns people’s bedtime and rest time into entertainment.
